Sex is sometimes the thing that creates the marriage.
When my husband met his first potential plural they were at a hotel in Phoenix. The Embassy Suites. They were there for a week at the same time and got to know each other. One night after the Happy Hour they boinked.
He ended up introducing Christie to his wife and in a couple months she moved in as his second.

Sex means children in long run and often in short run. Therefore, since children can't take of themselves, there is need for social institution which takes care of children.
