Throuple also implies that the women have some sort of connection as well, instead of two relationships with one man. At least thats how I understand it.

Somewhere, along time ago one of the ladies commented about how being in bed with her husband and his other wife had helped her in overcoming the jealousy problems. A bonding grew out of the intimacy with the newer wife and broke down the barriers between them.
 
So you are saying that there is net beneft to a lesbian-esque relationship and perhaps a nod of positivity?
